Hayley Labrum Morrison
Hayley Labrum Morrison is an interdisciplinary artist born in Salt Lake City, UT. Morrison’s work blends elements of painting, photography, and sculpture to investigate the systems at play in her suburban Mountain West upbringing. Her practice draws on personal experience, family archives, and research on the American Frontier and its role in catapulting early settlement claims into systems of unbridled wealth and power that have wide-reaching societal, cultural, familial, and individual implications.
Morrison’s solo exhibitions include “Of(f) the Body” at Dougherty Arts Center (Austin, TX, 2022) and “Tinkling Ornaments” at Martha’s (Austin, TX, 2022) and recent group exhibitions include “Fruit Salad” at NYC Crit Club (2025), “Marking Place” at Eastern Michigan University (2025), “New Suns” at Goodluckhavefun (Austin, TX, 2024), and “Anthropos” at Chilli Art Projects (London, UK, 2024).
Morrison earned a BFA from Brigham Young University in Provo,UT, will be a resident at Wassaic Project in 2025, was a resident at Vermont Studio Center in 2023, and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
